Fettuccine Alfredo
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- pinch freshly ground nutmeg
- salt
- fresh ground black pepper
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese
Instructions
- Put the butter and cream in a large skillet over medium-high heat and boil, stirring frequently, until the cream has reduced by almost half.
- Add the freshly grated nutmeg, some salt and a generous amount of freshly ground black pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Add the cheese and 1 pound of cooked fettuccine pasta. Toss well and serve immediately.
