Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • pinch freshly ground nutmeg
  • salt
  • fresh ground black pepper
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese

Instructions

  • Put the butter and cream in a large skillet over medium-high heat and boil, stirring frequently, until the cream has reduced by almost half.
  • Add the freshly grated nutmeg, some salt and a generous amount of freshly ground black pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Add the cheese and 1 pound of cooked fettuccine pasta. Toss well and serve immediately.
